Paul Sherrell
PAUL SHERRELL (Bass)
Paul was born in London and studied singing at the Royal Academy of Music. Early in his career he performed with Roy Wales in numerous works, including making a visit to Hungary to sing the Mozart Requiem.
During his long career he has covered a wide range of repertoire, from opera to oratorio and has given frequent recitals. He has sung at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, for Opéra Nord and Paris Opera, has lived in France since 1982 and works as a freelance singer in the Paris region.
In recent years he has performed in the Brighton area in performances of Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Requiem and Haydn’s The Creation as well as singing the bass solo at British Choral Institute workshop weekends in Alfriston in Puccini’s Messa di Gloria and Israel in Egypt (Handel)
