POLLITO BOOGALOO
(translates as “Little Dancing Chicken”)
This Latin American band play afro-colombian roots music drawing from classic 60s cumbia, vallenato and puya and mixing in a little dub and some voodoo!
The four band members are Rafael Berrio (singer and percussion), Nigel Broderick (accordion and percussion), Simon Russell (bass guitar) and Chris Taylor (conga drums).
They perform regularly in the Brighton area and have a 2010 residency at St. James’ Tavern in Kemp Town. Other venues in which they regularly play include The Fortune of War and The Brunswick.
