Michael lectures on a wide variety of topics, but came to Kipling when he discovered that no-one wrote more evocatively about Sussex, either in verse or in prose.

He has served The Kipling Society as Chairman and also as Honorary Secretary, but is currently just one of its Vice-Presidents.His most recent book is Kipling’s Sussex, and he has been involved in a number of radio and TV programmes about this very influential man of his age. (www.kipling.org.uk)
